  Mission Statement
The Lewa Wildlife Conservancy works as a catalyst for the conservation of wildlife and its habitat.
It does this through the protection and management of species, the initiation and support of community conservation and development programmes, and the education of neighbouring areas in the value of wildlife.

Lewa Austria
Lewa Austria, active since 2004, had a good start, and has, since then, already hosted two receptions a year rousing the interest of quite a few friends and donors for Lewa's concerns. The year 2004 saw the Craig’s and James Kinyaga speaking in Vienna.
Austrians have donated money to the LWC to be used e.g. to improve the Conservancy’s infra-structure: the new logistics department building was paid for by an Austrian donor.

Furthermore, money was raised in Vienna for a new class room at Matunda Gate, and for the Lewa Education Trust and the Women's Micro Credit Scheme at Archer's Post. Austrian sponsors also support the local children's middle and high school bursary.

In May 2005 Lewa Austria hosted two receptions in Athens, introducing the Lewa concept; Ian Craig and Jonathan Kipkorir Nteere both spoke. One event took place at the Cultural Centre in Kifissia (PIRNA), the other lecture was given at the Hellenic Society (ELLENIKI ETAIREIA).

An Austrian NGO ICEP (Institut zur Cooperation  bei Entwicklungs-Projekten) has committed itself to supporting and maintaining Lewa's Women's Micro Credit Scheme over a period of three years.
