  • 20% of endangered Grevy’s zebra live on Lewa
  • 10% of Kenya’s black rhinos live on Lewa
  • Lewa manages Kenya’s largest black rhino sanctuary, Ol Pejeta, 90,000 acres
  • 70 mammal species
  • Over 350 species of birds
  • Support 8 primary schools with infrastructure development
  • Constructed $37,961 of school buildings in 2005
  • Lewa provides over 100 children with bursaries
  • Raised $183,995 for community projects in northern Kenya
  • Total area of land under conservation programmes in north Kenya: 2,200 km2
  • Lewa’s annual budget: $ 2.3m – we need donations to continue our work.
