  Mission Statement
  The Lewa Wildlife Conservancy works as a catalyst for the conservation of wildlife and its habitat.
It does this through the protection and management of species, the initiation and support of community conservation and development programmes, and the education of neighbouring areas in the value of wildlife.
The Lewa Education Programme.

What a donation to the LWC Education Programme could do

( The costing for all the programmes and projects below are current at May 2008. Please confirm with Education Office if you would like to make a donation to ensure they are current and valid. Thank you )

$35 could do the following

  • Feed a child for a year or build a desk

$50 could buy one of the following

  • 190 exercise books
  • 300 manila papers
  • 15 assorted pre-primary teaching aids

$100 could buy one of the following

  • 25 text books
  • 3 teachers tables

$300 could do the following

  • Build one teachers bathroom

$300 could do the following

  • Pay teachers for holiday or remedial tuition.

$600 could do the following

  • Support an Orphan for a year

$700 could do the following

  • Pay one secondary school bursary for one year

$1,500 could do the following

  • Equip one school with sports and recreational facilities

$1,700 could do the following

  • Pay one college / university scholarship for one year

$2,080 could do the following

  • Provide solar power for one school's office

$3,500 could do the following

  • Provide one meal of maize and beans for 100 pupils per year

$4,000 could do the following

  • Build one teacher's house

$5,000 could do the following

  • Equip one school library

$8,000 could do the following

  • Build one permanent classroom

$10,000 could do the following

  • Build one library
